Parking meters

Well as many of you have probably noticed, Paignton Beach parking is open again. With no surprise of a parking meter every 15 metres. (luckily they are not active just yet). I shall remind any new visitors that Torbay Surfing petitioned against these along with 2000+ other angry people and as usual the council did not listen! - In future there is not much point petitioning as its getting clearer and clearer that they will do what they want regardless of what the people say. The council has recently been building up a nice little list of local mess up's including Rock Walk, that big Balloon thing and now Parking meters!

Ive been thinking we need a tractor to smash them down.
(above statement is not intended to incite criminal damage, and is not propaganda) although I do like RATM
Did write to council and Saunders, they should only charge during hol season as we all pay for the water rates for tourists and sewage. Rockwalk even in the interest of saftey was lack of forward planning without OUR opinion again using our money again and using our cash for those meters is rude.

You know I think we all kinda looked forward to the May-Sep contol to be over and we put up with that,
so next time its on were all going to be on 2 hour sessions or whatever we can afford,looking out for meter dudes, running the gauntlet of the law.... and it's funded by us.
with any luck our beloved sea may take care of them
