seals

has anyone or does anyone know if seals are tempted to bite ? because one popped up and followed me about at livermead the other day!must say it was quite wierd on my own at the time so put toes and fingers on board. When a pal turnrd up on a paddle board laughed abit, when told him it was behind him! he did'nt like it either and paddled for the shore ,so seal followed me again! it looked like a 'kin great dog! it snorted out of nose a few times so i got out as well for abit! my mate left telling me "they go on land too you know" which was comforting! so i got back in for a couple of hours but did'nt see him/her again . have surfed with them before but it just looked big and possibly feeding so just wondering!!

thanks Danny, thought as much ,as i say seen loads before but does make you wonder when that easterlies blowing stirring up the bottom ! it was definately feeding ,licking it's lips looking at me about 4-5ft away! it swam round and about for 10-20mins as i said till my mate jumped then it followed him ! so i laughed as he said he did'nt lkie the look of it not behind glass or on telly! But on a plus it's nice to know there's healthy looking wildlife around our coast. must remember my little water camera next time, could of had a guess the caption thingy with the look on mates face ,with the seal looking at him! oh well big s.w. blowing so of to the not so secret low tide spot! thanks again ..
